These Terms of Use set out the simple rules for shopping with ALVANY and for using this website. Please read them before you order. In short, they explain what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return.

ALVANY is a curated luxury house. Our edit brings together jewellery, bags, homeware and perfumes from many ateliers. Because we want every order to feel effortless, we have kept this page plain and brief.

Accepting these Terms of Use

By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to this page. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least eighteen years old to order from us. In addition, you confirm that the details you give us are accurate and your own.

Our pieces and prices

We describe and photograph every piece as faithfully as we can. However, colours can vary slightly from one screen to another. Many pieces are made or finished by hand, so small differences are part of their character.

Prices appear in UAE dirhams (AED). Occasionally, despite our care, a price or description may be wrong. If that happens, we will contact you before we take the order any further. You may then confirm the order at the correct price, or cancel it for a full refund.

Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. First, we send a written confirmation to say that it has reached us. Then, once the piece leaves us, a second note confirms that we have accepted the order. Until that moment, either of us may cancel. For example, you can still change your mind before dispatch, and we will refund you in full.

Sometimes a piece sells out, or we cannot verify a payment. In that case, we may decline the order. Naturally, we refund anything you have already paid.

Payment

We accept all major cards at checkout. Stripe, our payment partner, processes each payment over an encrypted connection. As a result, we never see or store your full card number. You can read how Stripe protects payment details for more. We take payment when you place the order.

Delivery

We deliver worldwide, and shipping is complimentary on every order. Most orders are ready within one to two working days. After that, delivery usually takes three to seven working days, depending on where you live. These times are estimates, however, and not promises. Local customs duties, where they apply, are yours to pay. Our shipping notes explain more.

Returns and refunds

You have thirty days from delivery to return a piece. It should be unworn and in its original packaging. To begin, email us with your order number, and we will send a prepaid label. Once the piece reaches us, we refund your original payment method within five working days. Our returns notes cover the steps. Moreover, these terms do not limit any rights the law already gives you as a consumer.

Your account under these Terms of Use

An account makes ordering quicker, but it is your choice to open one. Please keep your password private, because you are responsible for orders placed with it. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at once. Meanwhile, we handle your details as our privacy notice explains.

Using this website

Please use the site only to browse and to shop. Therefore, you must not copy it in bulk, disrupt it, or try to reach parts that are not public. Similarly, you must not use automated software to place orders.

The ALVANY name, the wordmark, the photographs and the words on this site belong to us or to the houses we carry. You may share a page or a picture for personal use. However, you need our written consent for any commercial use.

Our responsibility to you

We stand behind every order. If a piece arrives damaged or faulty, we will replace it or refund you. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that neither of us could have foreseen when you ordered. Nor are we liable for delays that lie outside our reasonable control, such as a customs hold. Nothing on this page removes a liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes to these Terms of Use

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Whenever we do, we change the date at the top of the page. The version in force on the day you order is the one that applies to that order. Consequently, it is worth a quick look before each purchase.
