Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what ALVANY learns about you when you visit our boutique online, and what we do with it. We wrote it to be read, so it is short and plain. In short, we collect only what we need to serve you well, and we never sell it.
ALVANY is a curated luxury house. Our edit brings together jewellery, bags, homeware and perfumes from many ateliers. Because trust is part of that service, we treat your details with the same care as the pieces we send you.

What this Privacy Policy covers
This page applies to alvanyconcepts.com and to every message we exchange with you about an order. For example, it covers your account, your purchases, our emails and the forms on this site. However, it does not cover other websites we may link to. Those sites follow their own rules, so please read them too.
The information we collect
Most of what we hold comes directly from you. In addition, your browser shares a few technical details whenever you visit.
- Account and order details. Your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, any further addresses you save in your address book, and the pieces you order.
- Messages. Anything you send through our contact form or by email, so that we can reply.
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address, if you join the ALVANY list.
- Technical details. Your IP address, your browser type and the pages you view. As a result, we can keep the site secure and working. At checkout we also match your IP address, on our own server, against a country database, so that the address form starts in the right place. Nothing about that lookup is sent to anyone else. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com.
We never see or store your full card number. Instead, our payment partner handles it for us.
How we use your information
First, we use your details to take payment, prepare your order and deliver it. They also let us answer your questions and handle any returns. Besides that, we keep the records that tax and accounting law require.
Secondly, we send news and private previews, but only if you asked for them. You can leave the list at any time, because every email carries a link to do so. Finally, we look at how visitors use the site in general terms, since that helps us improve it.
Who we share it with
Your information goes only to the partners who help us serve you. Therefore, each one receives only what its task requires.
- Payment. Stripe processes card payments on our behalf. You can read how Stripe handles personal data.
- Delivery. Our couriers receive your name, address and phone number, so that your order reaches you.
- Security. Cloudflare checks that people, rather than automated software, are using our forms. See Cloudflare’s own notice for more.
- Measurement. Google Analytics and PostHog show us, in aggregate, how visitors use the site.
- Hosting and email. Our hosting provider stores the site and delivers our messages.
Otherwise, we disclose information only when the law requires it. Above all, we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Some of them the boutique needs in order to work. For example, one remembers what is in your bag, and another keeps you signed in. Similarly, Cloudflare may set a cookie while it verifies a form.
We also use two measurement tools, Google Analytics and PostHog. They set cookies so that we can count visits and see which pages are useful. As a result, we learn what to improve. However, they do not tell us who you are. You can read how Google uses information from sites like ours, and PostHog’s own notice.
Our typefaces come from Google Fonts. Consequently, your browser contacts Google to fetch them, and Google receives your IP address. Read Google’s note on font requests for the detail. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. However, the bag and the checkout will not work without them.
How long we keep your information
Order records stay with us for as long as tax and accounting rules require. After that, we delete them or make them anonymous. Meanwhile, your account stays open until you ask us to close it. Similarly, a newsletter address remains on the list until you unsubscribe.
Your rights under this Privacy Policy
You stay in control of your information. Specifically, you may ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your account, along with the details we no longer need to keep;
- stop sending you marketing emails.
To use any right this Privacy Policy describes, simply write to us. We reply within thirty days. In addition, you can correct most of your details yourself once you have signed in.
Keeping your information safe
We serve every page of this site over an encrypted connection. Moreover, only the people who need your details to do their work can see them. No system is perfect, though. Therefore, if something ever goes wrong and it affects you, we will tell you promptly.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the boutique grows or as the law changes. Whenever we do, we change the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will also let you know by email. Our terms for using this site sit alongside this page, so please read both.
